About Us

Founded in 2021, 'World Castle Vacations' is an exclusive online reservation and booking service for 'extraordinary travelers' around the globe to experience first-hand exceptional living accommodations in castles and bygone palaces, fortresses, chateaux, manor houses, mansions, and kasbahs as well as today's 21st century hotel equivalent of a 'royal castle-in-waiting'. We are part of a sustainable travel trend - offering new and exciting ways to explore and enjoy castles of very variety - be it culinary, winery, and garden events, wedding and anniversary celebrations, concerts and theatre dramatizations, car shows, craft shows, and antique shows, and lessons in archery, falconry, fencing, jousting tournaments and film-making.

Founder and CEO

Jan is a 13th generation American - descendant of the First European Settlers in North America - specifically New England and the mid-Atlantic states - and just as importantly the First Castle Builders in Europe ranging from Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Northern Ireland, Poland, Republic of Ireland, Scotland, Spain, Ukraine, Wales to Jordan in the Middle East.

Her forebears also include some of the greatest knights of the Middle Ages including William Marshal, (1146-1219), Earl of Pembroke, Jousting Champion, Magna Carta Negotiator, Regent of England, and Advisor to Five Plantagenet Kings - and - El Cid, the 'Champion', (1043-1099), Castilian Military Leader and National Folk Hero of Medieval Spain as well as a few Knight Templars, Troubadours, Justiciars, Sheriffs, and Hereditary Coiners of the Mint.

Jan holds an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies and a master's degree in Business Administration and Entrepreneurial Management.

John Randolph Wathen

John is an 11th generation American - a descendant of the First European Settlers of the Southern United States of America and many a Castle Builder in England and France. John holds an undergraduate degree in Anthropology and his occupational specialties are Telemarketing and Business Development.
